Come in and enjoy our Gift Shop which contains educational materials, locally created items, t-shirts, cards & games. While you are visiting be sure to check out the Hagerman Valley Sheep Monument. It sits on a small park on the north end of town. The Monument commemorates the role of sheep and sheep ranching that has been part of the Hagerman area for over 130 years. Bill Jones and family donated the land and monument to the Society in 2012 for the enjoyment and education of the public. Artist Danny Edwards, with input from the Jones family, designed and fabricated the monument. There is an original Jones Family restored sheep wagon at the monument area. A group of car enthusiasts from Hagerman raised donations to purchase a 1909 International Harvester Auto Buggy. This car is assumed to be the first or one of the first cars in Hagerman. This car has been lovingly restored. The same group is now raising money to build a small building to be located on the Museum grounds to house the car. Please join us in raising funds for this building by buying a commemorative brick.
